Expedition Bigfoot Season 7: Could Biko Wright Return?

For fans of Expedition Bigfoot, Biko Wright quickly became one of the most recognizable members of the newer team.

His survival skills, tracking ability and calm approach to wilderness investigations made him a natural fit for the series. After Season 6, however, fans have been left with a much bigger question:

If Expedition Bigfoot returns for Season 7, will Biko Wright be back?

As of August 26, 2026, there is still no official Season 7 cast announcement from Discovery or Travel Channel. There is also no confirmed Season 7 premiere date. Current television tracking information continues to list the seventh season as unannounced, while another tracker claims the show is returning. Because those sources conflict and neither is an official network announcement, the safest conclusion is that Season 7 remains unconfirmed publicly.

But Biko's position is particularly interesting.

Biko Wright Became an Important Part of the Team

Biko Wright joined the series as a wilderness and survival specialist, bringing a different skill set to the investigation.

During Season 6, he worked alongside Dr. Mireya Mayor, Russell Acord and Bryce Johnson as the team investigated possible Sasquatch activity in Washington.

The Season 6 episodes specifically featured Biko and Mireya tracking signs in the wilderness, investigating strange sounds and following leads around the team's high activity area.

For many viewers, Biko's presence helped give the later seasons a fresh dynamic.

He wasn't simply another person looking for footprints.

His background allowed the show to spend more time examining the wilderness itself, including tracking, movement and survival.

Could Biko Return?

Yes, he could.

There is currently no reliable public information indicating that Biko has left Expedition Bigfoot.

In fact, recent Season 7 coverage continues to identify him as a likely returning member of the team. One July 2026 report lists Biko alongside Bryce Johnson, Mireya Mayor and Russell Acord as the expected core group, while also acknowledging that no official Season 7 cast announcement has been made.

That makes Biko's return plausible.

But it is important not to turn "likely" into "confirmed."

Until Discovery officially announces the cast, nobody can honestly guarantee that he will be in Season 7.

Biko's Season 6 Role Gives Fans a Clue

There is another reason his potential return makes sense.

Biko was not a one episode guest.

He became integrated into the team's investigations.

In one Season 6 episode, Biko and Mireya followed tree structures toward a water source. In another, Biko used a vocalization during a nighttime stakeout with Mireya. By the finale, he was part of the core group converging on the team's high activity area.

That kind of involvement suggests that the producers saw him as an important part of the show's investigative format.

If the same team structure returns, Biko would be a logical person to bring back.

But There Is One Big Problem

The problem isn't necessarily Biko.

It is Season 7 itself.

As of August 26, 2026, Discovery has not publicly announced a Season 7 premiere date or official cast lineup in the sources reviewed for this article. A current TV tracking site still says the renewal decision has not been officially announced.

At the same time, another tracking service labels the show "renewed" and lists Biko in its cast. However, that is a third party tracking service, not a Discovery announcement.

That distinction is extremely important for fans.

There is a difference between:

"Biko is expected to return."

and

"Discovery has officially confirmed Biko for Season 7."

The second statement cannot currently be supported.

What About the Other Investigators?

If Season 7 eventually receives the green light, Biko may not be the only familiar face returning.

Recent reporting has continued to identify Mireya Mayor, Russell Acord and Bryce Johnson as the expected core group alongside Biko.

That would essentially preserve the team viewers became familiar with during Season 6.

However, there is still no official Season 7 cast announcement confirming that lineup.

And that leaves room for changes.

What About Ronny LeBlanc?

Some longtime fans may also wonder whether Ronny LeBlanc could return.

LeBlanc was an important member of the earlier Expedition Bigfoot team, but he subsequently moved on from the show.

That makes his return a separate question from Biko's.

There is currently no confirmed information that Ronny will return as a regular Season 7 cast member.

If the producers wanted to bring him back for a special investigation, that would be possible, but there is no evidence that such a return has been announced.

Why Biko Could Be Valuable in Season 7

If the series returns, the investigation could benefit from Biko's particular strengths.

Bigfoot research is not just about collecting strange sounds or looking for large footprints.

Investigators have to understand terrain.

They need to know how animals move through an environment.

They need to recognize natural signs.

And they need to be able to operate safely in difficult wilderness.

Biko's survival background gives the show another perspective.

That is particularly useful when the investigation moves into remote terrain where conventional equipment cannot provide every answer.

Season 6 Left Plenty of Questions

The sixth season ended with the team investigating an area of Washington's backcountry known as "The Fork."

The final episodes featured tree structures, unusual sounds, tracks and technology designed to detect possible activity. The finale brought the main investigators together around the high activity area, where the team used an interceptor drone and seismic tripwire.

For fans, that creates a natural reason to continue the story.

If the team believes an area deserves additional investigation, Biko's tracking and wilderness skills could become even more important.

But whether that investigation actually becomes Season 7 remains dependent on the network.

The Internet Has Created a Lot of Confusion

There have been repeated online claims about Season 7 release dates.

Some fan discussions even circulated supposed premiere dates that never materialized. In 2025, viewers were already reporting conflicting information about an alleged August 14 premiere, while other fans noted that no official announcement could be found.

That history is a useful warning.

Fans should be careful with websites or social media posts that present a specific Season 7 date as fact without a Discovery or Travel Channel announcement.

The same applies to cast lists.

A third party database can be useful for tracking developments, but it isn't the same as an official casting announcement.

So, Will Biko Wright Be Back?

Right now, the honest answer is:

Probably possible, but not officially confirmed.

Biko remains closely associated with the most recent season.

He was an important member of the Season 6 team.

Current third party reporting continues to identify him as a likely returning cast member.

And there is no reliable public announcement saying that he has left the series.

But until Discovery announces Season 7 and its cast, his return remains unconfirmed.

The Bigger Question Is When the Cameras Will Roll Again

For fans, Biko's future is ultimately tied to the future of Expedition Bigfoot itself.

Season 6 finished airing in March 2025, and the long wait has created considerable speculation among viewers.

There have also been reports that the show has been on hold while network decisions are being made, rather than being officially canceled.

That distinction gives fans some reason for optimism.

The show hasn't been publicly declared dead.

But there is also no official green light that can be pointed to yet.

Final Thoughts

Biko Wright became one of the strongest new additions to Expedition Bigfoot, and his role during Season 6 made him a natural candidate for another expedition.

If Season 7 moves forward with a team similar to the Season 6 lineup, Biko would make a lot of sense as a returning investigator.

But as of August 26, 2026, fans should treat his return as possible and widely expected, not officially confirmed.

The same goes for the season itself.

There is no verified Season 7 premiere date yet, and Discovery has not publicly released a definitive Season 7 cast announcement in the sources reviewed.

So for now, the Bigfoot community is left with one more mystery:

If the expedition returns to the forest, will Biko Wright be there?

For many fans, the answer they are hoping for is obvious.

Absolutely.
